Exceptional rum, embracing Manchester’s circular economy. Limited to 20 bottles only, made from food waste from Manchester’s bars & restaurants.

 

Cola & zest on the nose, with rich orange and bitter grapefruit on the palate.

 

Mouth filling spice & sharp citrus with banging tangy wide ranging spice, from grapefruit, orange, cassia, ginger, tea & clove.

 

On the palate, sharp and boozy. Excellent with ginger beer or served long with coke. Sip in a spiced Old fashioned.

Gave us the juiced Grapefruit.

 

As a liqueur producer, we don’t ferment the rum ourselves from molasses or sugar cane. We source high quality rum and infuse and balance. We’re the only producers you’ll find openly providing this information, though many comparable rum brands in the UK do the same. We’re happy giving you honest information to make your own decisions, and believe in radical honesty.

 

The reason why we commissioned this product is entirely to repurpose waste food from bars in Manchester. There is a huge surplus of waste flowing through the city, 99% of it would end up in the bin – we believe in commissioning products around need, and the flavours and ingredients we’ve picked up recently had wonderful synergy for this release.

Allergens – As an urban foraged Rum this may contain all 14 allergens; celery, milk, sulphites, gluten, crustaceans, eggs, fish, lupin, molluscs, mustard, peanuts, sesame seeds, soya & tree nuts.

Every piece of peel and fruit we hand sort for quality, and everything is cleaned & infused into high quality Caribbean rum.

Ingredients: Caribbean Rum, Juiced Orange & Grapefruit husks from Bars which Juice fresh. French Oak for tannin & subtle balanced Vanilla. Cassia, Clove, fresh Ginger & waste tea. Trace of Uk Grown Sugar & Mancunian dilution
