Sustainability

We vermicompost our food waste from production onsite. The majority being coffee grounds from Heart & Graft roastery, which were delivered in reusable containers by bike, and the rest being citrus peel from distillation. Every week on a friday we collect food waste from Manchesters Bars & Restaurants on ebike. We use this to produce our quad sec, blue, circular dry limoncello and many limited releases.

Any excess from making our liqueurs is transported by bike to be composted by local orchard projects or for community food prodution.

As well as however much cardboard the worms care to eat. The rest is recycled.

We use no plastic in production. Our corks are low weight, biodegradeable & sourced from Portugal. Our bottles from French glass & recyclable low weight German aluminium. Our labels, paper and the designs limited edition featuring no ai, made by artists from the UK with long term repeat commissions for human artists. Each btl has a .20p donation to a UK charity, before profit.

We have no general waste collection, 100% is recycled.

Our energy is provided by an 100% renewable supplier and we plan our energy intensive production around times the grid is powered by renewables.

In May 2026 we are just about to commission a recirc cooling system, which will avoid approx 24,000 litres of water waste annually.

We choose local suppliers and ingredients for any new product we launch.

This includes locally hand foraged produce which others might consider waste.

Our sugar is british sugar, our base spirit is made from UK grown winter wheat.

Recycled lemons dehydrated for 48 hours sourced from Manchester Bars which juice. Collected every week on ebike.
Cocktail taster kit, packaged in cardboard and featuring our whole range of cocktail liqueurs.

We choose low weight solutions for our Liqueur Cocktail taster kits, with a goal of reducing shipping carbon.

They are packaged in the waste paper from our sugar, which goes into our liqueurs. Every piece of incoming packaging is used on our outgoing orders or recycled.

We do still use 100% recycled plastic wrap & recycled plastic totes for our 5L Trade Liqueurs for our wholesale orders of Manchester made Liqueurs. We are searching for a solution for this and welcome contact from anyone who might have an answer.

We aren’t perfect, but we are honest, and every decision we make will be made with people & planet in mind.
